We had a sick dog with diarrhea on a cross country trip and of course it was a Sunday! We were in South Dakota thousands of miles from home and needed a 24 hour vet clinic and found one in rapid city SD. The vet and staff were amazing and treated our dog and got us on our journey. Coats were reasonable and staff was knowledgeable. Great vet clinic! Update two days after seeing Dr Schaat Dante had a perfect poop! 💩

My dog had a severe allergic reaction to a bite - and then a paradoxical reaction to benydryl. Dr. Hannah Schaack was very thorough in explaining her treatment plan (steroid injections) as well as follow up ideas to discuss with my regular vet (also stellar vets at like Dr. Lance and Dr. Ireland at Northern HIlls Vet Clinic). I had to wait a long time - but it was a Sunday and as a 24 hour emergency vet, walkins need to be prioritized according to patient need. I knew this and brought a comfy dog bed for my girl and I to wait. We were checked on often and notified of 'position in line'; the staff and doctor were all kind, professional and prompt - and patient and caring with my girl Sylvie. We still have our favorite local vet - but it is reassuring knowing unforseen issues can be handled with knowledge and care.

The staff was friendly knowledgeable and accommodating. The facility is new, beautiful and most importantly, clean. Our vet Kerri was careful and thorough. She handled our baby BeeSaw with love!
